Hi, I am Meenakshi Atawnia

an RCI Registered and Counseling Psychologist, Certified Yoga Practitioner and Life Coach. I am Certified Trauma Expert and I practise Empathy, Self Compassion and provide my clients with a safe space of non-judgment. I like to do deep dive and work with my clients at a personal level to help them discover their true selves that can help them to heal their inner child complex.

 

My approach is eclectic where I customize plans for my clients’ concerns and their needs whilst using techniques from multiple psychological modalities and Yoga philosophy.

A family dynamic may become complex because of the number of family members with varied expectations, personality factors as well as roles they may play. Family therapy untangles those ties, and assists parents, children and other members to create a harmonious consortium.

Child Therapy

  • According to World Health Organisation (WHO), 20% of adolescents may experience Mental health problems in a given year. 50% of mental health concerns are established by the age of 14. 
  • Early intervention is key in assisting children that can develop as independent, self-reliant and adaptable adults. Therapy is a great tool to understand children and their reactions, work on the behavioral concerns as well as help them through healthy means of expression.

Supervision & Training

  • Psychological Counseling or Therapy is a skill that is acquired through ethical practice and constant mentorship. New counselors can find the process of conducting therapy an overwhelming experience, either because of a lack of exposure or through the limited education curriculum. 
  • That’s okay!! Feeling overwhelmed is an insight that you are willing to work on your skill and want to practice as ethically as possible. We are here to offer you in-depth, one-on-one supervision that will provide guidance and support necessary for upskilling, how to build your own successful private practice, and to offer insight into case discussions as well as modalities.

Support Groups

  • When you feel overwhelmed, anxious, triggered, sad, lonely, angry etc., believe us you are NOT alone. Thus, we have created special support groups for specific concerns at nominal charges. It can be a great start if you are new to the therapy space or just want to learn through others’ experiences.
